MAX contribution per year: $5,000 per household.
You contribute this money without paying tax on it.
Funds are available as they are deducted from your paycheck and contributed to the plan each payday.
You must use money you deposited between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. If you don't use it, the money is subject to forfeiture. There is no "carryover" feature with dependent care F.S.A
You must file all claims by March 31, 2021.

NOTE: The $5,000 is per household. 
If your spouse made less than $5,000, your combined max contribution is lowered to equal your spouse's income!

If you are married and filing separately, your annual max contribution is $2,500.

NOTE. Once you make an election, you cannot change it mid-year unless you experience a life event such as adoption, birth, divorce, death, marriage, change in residence, court judgment, court order, enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid, significant cost changes or absence due to F.M.L.A leave, or change from full-time to part-time.

Please notify H.R. of life events immediately, but within 31 days of the event.

You can use the money in your F.S.A. for:
1. Daycare, after-school care, or summer day camp expenses for your dependent children who are 12 years old or younger.

2. Care for a person of any age who is mentally or physically impaired and cannot care for himself and whom you claim as a dependent on your federal income tax return.

Keep all receipts for tax purposes.

1. Check your account balance.
2. File claims.
3. Set up recurrent claims payments.
4. Upload receipts to BPAS with your phone camera.

You can download the BPAS Mobile app through the App Store on iTunes or Google Play. Search by BPASClaims.

To activate the app, you'll need a unique username and password.
Your username is your first initial, last name, and last 4 digits of SSN.
Example: jdoe4444
Your temporary password is your first name, the two-letter abbreviation for the state in which you live, and the last five digits of your SSN.
Example: janetx55555.
You can create a new password and four-digit PIN.
